Milling & Paving Schedule for 2014: Starting June 16, 2014 at 7 am the Village will be milling the following streets: Columbia (including Old Columbia off Transit), French Rd (from Transit to Columbia), Houston, Marrano, Entry, Arlington, Colgate and Cornell. Before July 4th the Village hopes to pave the above streets after they have been prepped for paving. Traffic will be reduced during milling and rerouted during paving. If you have any questions please call the DPW at 716-683-5700 between 7 am and 2:30 pm.

Garbage totes are $50.25, Recycle totes are $44.72 for additional totes.

Snow Plow Permits (Application) are only issued in the Clerk/Treasurer's Office at 85 Manitou St between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm Monday - Friday. The fee is $15.00 per vehicle . Effective January 30, 2012 the Village will no longer pickup TV's and electronic devices. These items can be dropped off at the DPW Complex on Rutherford Pl during the hours of 7 am until 3 pm Monday - Friday.

The Department of Public Works handles the following services:

  • Snow Plowing
  • Garbage Collection & Recycling
  • Disposal of Refrigerators, Freezers and AC Units - Fee for Refrig, Freezers, AC Units are $15 each - No fee for TV drop off effective Jan. 24, 2011. TV's must be dropped off.
  • Paving and Road Maintenance
  • Tree Removal and Trimming
  • Storm Sewer Maintenance
  • Brush Pickup (call 683-5700 for pickup)

On which holidays is garbage not collected? New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day (If the holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be one day later for that day and each day after for the week of the holiday)

When is large trash pickup? TWO items will be picked up per week. No appliances or electrical goods.

How do I dispose of a refrigerator? To dispose of appliances - including refrigerators, hot water tanks, A/C units, dishwashers, stoves, washers/dryers - A resident MUST CALL the Treasurer/Clerk's Office at 683-7451 for a pickup. There is a fee for disposal of Refrigerators, Freezers, and AC Units are $15. You must pay the fees at the Village of Depew Treasurer/Clerk's Office during normal office hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Refrigerator doors are to be duct taped. Items are to be left at the curb after their pickup has been paid for and scheduled with the Clerk's Office. Items will be picked up on Thursdays by the Department of Public Works.
