This historic village, incorporated in 1894 as a railroad town, is one of the largest villages in Western New York. We are situated just 10 miles east of the City of Buffalo.

2014-2015 Village Tax Bill Information is available on the Treasurer/Clerk's Page under the Department tab on the left. Payments for taxes are NOT accepted after October 31, 2014. The last day to pay without penalty is July 1, 2014.

Public Hearing on Community Development Block Grant Projects will be held on Tuesday Oct 14, 2014 at 7 pm in the Council Chambers.
Please place brush at the curb on the grass area of your property and not in the street. Brush must be free from stumps, dog waste, leaves and debris to be picked up. You may contact DPW at 683-5700 to be placed on the pickup list.
Reminder that only Village garbage totes will be emptied by Modern Disposal. Do not place bags or boxes outside of your tote. Large pickup items are limited to two a week and consist of items that would not fit in the tote. If you need additional totes please contact the Clerk/Treasurer's Office at 683-7451 to purchase them. You are allowed three garbage totes.
Tax bills were mailed May 30, 2014 to the owner we have on record. Current tax bill information is available on the Clerk/Treasurer's Page at the top of the page. Click on Departments on the left side of this home page to access the Clerk/Treasurer's page.
Effective January 30, 2012 due to changes in recycling regulations the Village will no longer be able to pickup TV's and or electronic devices. Village residents may drop off TV's, computers and other electronics at our DPW site at 200 Rutherford Place, off Broadway near Borden, from 7 am until 3 pm Monday - Friday. We can not accept any TV's that have been scrapped or damaged.
Garbage & Recycle Totes - will be delivered starting June 18, 2013. Local Law 3 of 2013 - Chapter 198 - Solid Waste. Cost for 95 gal garbage tote and 65 gal recycle tote will be $94.97 and will be assessed on the Village Tax bill due July 1, 2013.
